When I Was You is built to collect as little as possible about you.
The age or birthday you enter, and the last person you looked at, are saved only in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers them next time. They are never sent to us or anyone else. You can erase them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Like almost every website, the web server automatically records basic technical details of each request: the IP address, date and time, page requested, and browser type. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, are not combined with any other data, and are deleted automatically as they age out.
Some pages may link to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for them. If we ever add advertising or affiliate links, this page will be updated first to say so.
The site is for a general audience and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
